Volney Gay, PhD, is a Supervising and Training Analyst at the St. Louis Psychoanalytic Institute. He is Professor Emeritus at Vanderbilt University where he was Professor of Religious Studies, Professor of Psychiatry, and Professor of Anthropology. He has published nine books on psychoanalysis, religion, and science.
